About Richard Milburn Academy

Richard Milburn Academy is a free public charter high school designed to help students who have experienced difficulty in a traditional school setting.

Since we opened our first school in 1998, we have helped nearly 37,889 students complete their high school education and 4,873 students have graduated. During the 2009/2010 school year, we served the educational needs of 4,725 students who might have otherwise continued to struggle in school or dropped out. We believe that each student is capable of academic success, and we adapt our program to fit each student’s unique learning and personal needs.

At RMA, students have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma in an environment in which they feel safe, supported and valued. Our non-traditional program and student-centered approach to education make RMA a good fit for students who have experienced difficulty in school and are looking to make a change in their lives.
